SUPER TALK!
20/07/08
We are back and alive after another wicked week of touring. The tales are endless (Matt getting a tattoo with Mike Pollitt (Shadowcops) name on it for a joke, completing endless tour challenges such as: holding up a sign saying"Mike Sweeney is a cunt" outside Buckingham Palace and the Angel of the North, giving tramps piggy backs, riding horses, stealing gnomes, etc, etc - photos coming soon!)
Gig wise, Birmingham was particularly ace, Liverpool particularly rubbish, but it was an awesome 9 days in general.
We are sorry to confirm that we are again a 3 piece as founder member, Davey Psychotronic is moving to London (where he will inevitably be mugged and unappreciated). We are very sorry to see him go after well over 150 gigs with Revenge, but wish him all the best in his new life.
Cheers to Bev for driving us round again. We are going to the Czech Republic in Oct/Nov and will be booking gigs for the latter parts of the year at the moment.
Myself and Matt are also writing new songs for a full length album, to be released on TNSrecords early next year.

Our new CD (a split ep with our good mates, the Fractions) is out now on TNSrecords.
It features 4 new tracks by us and 3 by the Fractions.
It's just £4 from the webstore at www.myspace.com/thatsnotskankingrecords
Please buy it! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
09/03/08
We've recorded 4 tracks for a split ep with our good friends, the Fractions. It should be out in April, through TNSrecords.
Loads of gigs coming up to, including a summer tour, which will be Davey's last with the band, which is gutting, but we'll march on!
06/02/08
The revenge machine is well and truly back up and running.
Our track 'Get Pissed, Talk Shit, Dance Like an Idiot' is on the TNSrecords compilation, released next week. 'Vuz Lightyear' features on, Punktastic Unscene 4, which is released on Banquet Records in March and we are going into the studio next week to record 3 brand new tracks for our part of a split ep with our good mates, the Fractions, which will also be out on TNSrecords very soon.
We have shit loads of gigs booked, including a romantic valentines treat on 14 Feb, supporting the mighty Subhumans.
All is looking exciting so we hope to see y'all soon!
16/09/07
We are pleased to announce that Matt Woods of Gizmo/External Menace/Dangerous Aces/etc/etc fame has joined us on guitar. Not only is Matt a fantastic guitarist, but he's also a complete piss head, so his introduction has probably taken another few more years off our life spans but it's gonna be a lot of fun!
15/08/07
So after what seemed to be an almost never ending break from gigging over the last month we've done another tour and also played in Ireland. It's a lot of fun playing as a 3 piece and it's just great to be gigging again. the new songs are flying through and we have quite a few more gigs on the horizon so check our gig guide and I've also added loads of new photos of tour and Ireland. Also, congratulations to the Big handed one who is now a married man! See you all soon - Andy
24/05/07
Unfortunately we can confirm that Liam has decided that after two years in the band he will be leaving and he hopes to get a new band together in the near future. We are all still good mates and it's all been amicable. We wish him well in the future and want to thank him for everything he has done for us and some brilliant times.
Myself, Davey and Big Hands will definitely be carrying on but will be taking a couple of months out to sort out our line up and to bring new material through.
We'll be playing in Ireland in July and also have a short tour planned for August so we hope to back on the gig trail asap.
Andy
01/05/07

We are also booked to play the Strummer Camp festival in May bank holiday which promises to be an amazing weekend. Tickets are available from Rockers or from us.

We have booked into Studio Studio in Whiteworth to begin recording the follow up to Shitty Zomies on 13/14/15th February.
The plan is to record the album as a series of eps, which will then be joined together to complete a new album so we are likely to record five or six new tracks in this session. We'll keep you posted.
We are playing Lancasters, Yorkshire House with Sadie Hawkins dance this Saturday so come down if that's your neck of the woods!
09/09/06
Check this music video! It is guaranteed to rock n' roll your face off!
14/08/06
Here are a couple of pictures of the great Peter Spelson (the star and writer of the Psychotronic man) wearing our band t-shirt!

08/08/06
Well we got back from our third UK tour last night and as you can imagine we are all pretty knackered but a fantastic time was had yet again!
Cheers to every promoter who put us on and were so good to us, all the bands we played with and everyone who watched us. We had a belter and can't wait to do it again. In fact you can expect a short tour in October.
Gig wise it's MDC at Satan's Hollow on Wednesday so we hope to see some of you there, then it's a bit of a break from playing Manchester as we have three or four new songs we want to get through. There are still a few out of town gigs listed on the gigs page some of you may be able to come too though.
See you soon!
Andy Psychotronic
11/07/06
The makers of the film 'The Psychotronic Man' have recently been in touch with us and have been kind enough to send us a signed photo of the star, Peter Spelson (will be on the site soon) and a remastered DVD. The film was called Revenge of the Psychotronic Man for it's UK release.
We are all really happy to have been contacted by these guys and it would be ace if some people added them on Myspace (they are in our top friends under Psychotronic Man) and gave their site a visit!
http://www.psychotronicman.com
There could well be a sequel on the way, which would be out of this world!
28/06/06
Only a month till the summer tour now, which is pretty exciting. The dates are all up on the gigs page as are some flyers.
We were lucky enough to play twice at the Morecambe, Nice n' Sleazy festival last weekend after being invited back on Sunday after the Friday show. We all had a wicked time and it's a festival with the potential to fill the void left by Wasted. It was an absolutely superb weekend, especially considering that it was the first one and hopefully in years to come it will go from strength to strength. Cheers to everyone who put it on and helped us out, you know who you are.
We also have copies of the Punk in Sunderland and Around the World (vol 4) compilation available from gigs, the merch page and by Saturday, Roadkill Records for £5. It's a privilidge to be on such a fine compilation with loads of established bands and some great up and coming ones too (48 in total over two CDs). It includes the likes of the compilers themselves, Holy Racket, plus Die Hunns, The Peacocks, Goldblade, UK Subs, Texas Terri Bomb, GBH, Drongos For Europe, our mates Seize the Day and many, many more. Our track is 'Alcohol is Not a Drug (It's a Drink)'
'Straight Hedge' is also on the Punkermentality Zine compilation, which is titled 'This is PM Zine, Not Kerrang'. This will be free with the next issue of the fanzine. Check http://www.pmzine.co.uk/ for more info. We'll also have a few copies ourselves soon. This looks like another cracking CD, with bands such as the Mercury league, Random Hand, Pickled Dick and fellow Manc bands, No Standards, Me and Three Others and Failsafe amongst the 25 tracks.
Finally we will have limited edition Emo Safari t shirts available for the tour so check them out on the merch page.
Hopefully we'll see some of you at the Free Joshua Brookes gig on Sunday.
27/05/06
It's been good to be back on the gigging trail of late, with some fun shows with the blunts and kings of the delmar, including a really enjoyable half dayer with some other great bands in Manchester last week. We are playing the dirty weekend in Rhyl next week which should be top.
The summer tour is now pretty much confirmed (fingers crossed) so check details on the gigs page.
Due to a huge fuck up by me (Andy) we won't be doing the 5 date mini tour with Gizmo at the end of August. I need to invest in a calender as I got my dates wrong. We do have lots lined up over the next few months though so look out for information.
See you in dive near you very soon!
17/04/06
The interview we did for unity fm is now available to download on the downloads page, so you can see just how much crap we actually talk!
30/03/06
It was a real treat to play the academy again, especially with such a big audience and such a high profile gig. I'm still buzzing off it. Cheers if you got your tickets from us, it's appreciated and we hope to see you on Sunday, when it's free to watch us play!
28/02/06
Well we are back from another brilliant week of touring and are very pleased with how it went. Cheers if you watched us or purchased our merch and thanks loads to everyone who put us on. The standard of the bands we played with was incredible and it was a pleasure to be on so many great line ups.
We'll be on the road again between 30th July and 8th August and are also looking for shows we can drive to between April 12th and 19th so get in touch if you can help.
We'll hopefully see some of you at Joshua Brookes on Sunday and don't forget tickets for the Discharge show (29th March) are on sale in Rockers now.
17/02/05
So we hit the road tomorrow for our second UK tour and we are all very excited. It has a lot to live up to after last years tour, but we have some exciting gigs lined up and are looking forward to seeing some amazing bands.
We also have tickets available for the Discharge gig at the Academy on Wednesday 29th march. Hope some of you can make it along. We've left a load in Rockers priced at £9, which is the price without the booking fee so pick them up from there.
We'll hopefully be seeing some of you very soon.
14/01/06
Happy New Year to everyone. We have some pretty cool stuff to look forward to this yaer. We are touring in February and just have one date left to fill for an eight day tour. We also have some pretty cool support slots coming up, with quality bands such as the Briefs, The Down and Outs, Freaks Union and Discharge (which is at the academy 3). We are also going to be featured on a couple of really cool punk compilations. There will be more news on those soon.
We will be playing three brand new songs and a new intro at Retro Bar next week so look out for them and we hope to see you all at a gig very soon.
31/10/05
We are putting on a wicked gig at Satan's Hollow on 27th November featuring our good mates, the Blunts and some other great bands in the shape of Kid Voodoo, Kings of the Delmar and the Medicine Bow. That should also be superb and advance tickets for that at a cost covering low price of £2 will be available from Rockers very soon.
We also have three brand spanking new tracks which should be ready soon. The first of which, Fuckers England, was aired at Joshua Brooks and at the fantastic gig at York Fibbers.
Andy
12/10/05
Hello people! Hope you are all cool.
We have quite a few gigs lined up before the end of the year including a Fleetwood show next Wednesday (19th), which is actually a battle of the bands type situation if anyone can make it. We then have two free Manchester gigs, Joshua Brooks on 23rd Oct and the Attic on 6th Nov, so please come along.
There are loads of top reviews to check out. We even got 9/10 on one site which is fucking ace. There are also interviews with us in the latest issues of TNS and Burn Out fanzines. We also have a track on the latest TNS compilation, which is available at Rockers and Piccadilly and Roadkill records in Manchester for FREE.
Check this space for some potentially exciting news soon!
25/08/05
Being slack, this is the first update since we got back from tour, which was an absolutely awesome week by the way. We had such a good time and it was made all the sweeter by the fact we sorted it all ouselves. I'll take this opportunity to thank Bev, who was an absolute star driving the van around and sleeping in a confined space with us four idiots. We hope he'll be back for every tour cause it won't be the same without him. We were lucky enough to have really decent crowds most nights and made loads of new friends. I will post some tour photos soon but it'll be a couple of weeks as I'm off to Leeds festival this weekend. That's followed by the Witchwood punk all dayer in Ashton, which promises to be an amazing day. The line up includes the mighty Goldblade, Abrasive Wheels, the Dead Pets, 3CR, the Kirkz, monkey shuffle and more. I think it's possibly the best line up I have had the privelidge to play on and we hope to see some of you there. We are on around four so get there early. Monkey Shuffle are on before us and they are well worth catching.
The album is available to buy at gigs and in Piccadilly and Roadkill records and Rockers. You can also get it online from www.roadkill-records.co.uk or order it direct from us. It's a fiver. The reviews are raining in and you can read some on this site. The interview and review by David Adair is on numerous music websites and is possibly going to be in the next Inaudible magazine which would be mint. Stu Gibsons review is likely to feature in a new national magazine which is quite exciting.
Anyway, enough from me. Hope some people can make the Witchwood. If not we are playing a free gig at Joshua Brookes on Sunday 4th September.
Andy
03/08/05
The Shitty Zombies album will be available for £5 at Rockers, Piccadilly and Roadkill Records, Manchester from next Monday. You can also get it from all of our gigs.Alternatively you could send a cheque or postal order (payable to Andrew Davies) for £5.50 (to cover postage) to:We also have red or blue t shirts available in small, medium or large, which have the logo from the front page of our web site on them. These are six quid but if you want a t shirt and an album just send us a tenner and we'll bung you some free badges too.Hope you don't all think we've turned into corporate whores but the tour and album has cost us a fortune to do so we are just trying to cover costs with the merch.
We have posted Alcohol is not
a Drug (it's a drink) in the download section so you can hear that for FREE.
Anyway let us know what you reckon to the song, email me if you are sending
stuff in the post so I know it's coming. Also check the gig guide for all tour
dates and we hope to see you all very soon.
21/07/05
Well the album (which is called...wait for it....Shitty Zombies!) is mixed and personallyI'm loving it. We'll have some unmastered available for cheap at Saturdays gig at the Thatched House, Stockport and we should be completing themastering process next week. The final album will be around £5 as it's cost us loads to do it. We will have t shirts available for £6 for all the tour dates too.13/07/05I've been offline for a few weeks so sorry for the lack of updates. There will be new videos on the site within the next hour and we are in the studioSat - Tues so we'll keep you posted on that.21/06/05The Stafford gig was an awesome night and it is superb to see that Stafford stillknows how to rock. Thanks to all the people down the front who were superb. It was great to be back and thanks to Jim for putting it on and Jay for inviting us down. Weare looking forward to False Idol coming to Manchester for a show in August. It looks like the single is going to be put back a few weeks as we haven't quite finishedit yet, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait. The roadhouse and Satan's gigs have been cancelled but there are a load of new dates on the gig listings page so check it out.I'll be posting live footage from Stafford later this week so keep checking back.17/05/05We can confirm that there are now officially four Psychotronic Men.Liam has joined on guitar and after just two practises it is sounding wickedalready. We feel it's a really good move for the band, especially as Liam is notjust a top quality guitarist but also a huge Partridge fan.He will be playing his first gig on Sunday 5th June at the Attic... so be there! Also, thanks to everyone who saw us at the Goldblade gig. We had an amazingnight and as usual goldblade were awesome. The Fat Cats were also wicked, so allin all it was a top night. We can also confirm we will be recording two tracks at the end of May so lookout for that.23/04/05We will be playing at Academy 3 on Sunday 26th June with Uncle Brian. This is obviously another huge gig for us and if anyone is coming please buy your tickets direct from us (email revengeofthepsychotronicman@hotmail.com).The promoter wants us to sell 30 tickets. We are going to take the money we would get paid off the ticket price to encourage people to buy them. The album, which is now likely to be called Telephone Cluedo, is probably not going to be recorded
until summer now, but we are planning on recording two of the songs at the end of May so we'll keep
you posted on that too.
Hope to see some of you at one of the many gigs we have booked, very soon!
28/03/05
The big news in the revenge of ... camp is that we will be the main (well the only) support for
the mighty Goldblade on friday 13th May at Satan's Hollow. It's the album launch night for
their Rebel Songs album and it's a bargain £3 to get in. Please come to this one! It should be an
awesome night! It looks very likely that Goldblades Johny Skullknuckles is going to be
producing the album, which will be great. We reckon we will be recording in early June.
We are planning on calling the album (this might change, however)..."Yes...It's an Extender!"
because it really is...an extender!
Hopefully, we'll see some of you at the attic on Sunday!
16/03/05
We've had some pretty decent gigs of late. It was a pleasure as always to go to Wolverhampton
and do a show with the Blunts. You can check them out at the Attic on 3rd April.
According to a review of that gig I look like I'd be more comfortable in a gym and
we all wear football shirts, which we found pretty funny. Apparantly we were really entertaining
for the first ten minutes. Hey that's half of our set! just the other ten to work on then...
Big hands gets tired y' know! There are also some pretty nice reviews of us from the
Captain Everything gig at http://www.mancpunkscene.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13027
The Attic gig last Sunday was top and I think probably had one of the best lineups I have
put on so cheers to the amazing Rhythmic Coughing, Monkfish, Flat Back Four and Doctrine.
It's been a good few weeks for playing with bands I really rate because we supported
Circle of Silence in Stockport too, which was a great night.
31/01/05
We now have a forum at www.mancpunkscene.co.uk.
It's a great site in general with some other cool forums.
You can go on and rave about us or just take the piss out of Big Hands huge hands.
You have to get a username/password but it's well worth it and a great way to keep up with
what we are doing and what is going on punk wise in Manchester, in general.
24/01/05
We have got shit loads of gigs booked for the coming months, so check the listings page.
We can also confirm that we will definitely be recording a full album in the summer, which is really exciting stuff.
We are also really looking forward to our first gig of the year at the Attic on Sunday.
We have FREE pin badges and the new That's Not Skanking fanzine will also be available.
We should be playing two new songs on Sunday, called: Vuz Lightyear and Straight Hedge, so look out for them!
Hope to see some of you there!
21/12/04
Well it's been an eventful six months or so for Revenge of the Psychotronic Man since we formed earlier in the year.
Things seem to be going well so far. We reckon we will be recording an album next summer, which will be ace.
The Captain Everything gig was also amazing and it was really cool to support one of our favourite bands and especially
cool to be asked on stage for their last song (hope we didn't ruin it for people!)
We have t shirts available from gigs for the bargain price of a fiver and they should be available from this site soon.
We have also got pin badges on the way so watch this space.
Hope you have a wicked Xmas and we will be seeing you in the new year!
15/11/04
Hi! We have finally got this site online so we apologise for the delay.
It's not the best at the moment but you can expect it to be improved in the near future.
In the meantime, we have some great gigs booked so we will hopefully see you at some of them.
You can also check out our Pure Volume account:
